Stargate // “SLOWBURN” (2016)

Another throwback from the vault, yet watching this skate film still feels fresh. This film is now marking its 10th year mark since it was released. A skate film reflecting all the rush, the grittiness, the imperfections, and creating a beauty from all the dissatisfaction or roughness of every spot. Indeed, it was a love letter to the skateboarding energy of Metro Manila in 2016, and still making its impact until at present. It features skaters, namely Jordy Barreyro, Pao Mendoza, Rap Santos, June Braga, Demi Cuevas, and Jeff Gonzales, with special appearances of friends such as Oliver Velasco, Michael Sinczak, Louie Enconado, Jundin Santos, and Billy Abalos. Filmed by Aris Bantug, with additional filming by Jordy Barreyro, Pao Mendoza, and Jeff Gonzales.
